The overall time needed for a Knockdown Rebuild (KDR) is often at least an 18mth process once you consider planning, approvals, and building. This timeline starts from the moment you begin planning what sort of home you want and ends the day we handover the keys to your finished home. Every job is different and our expert team will be with you every step of the way to make this process as enjoyable and efficient as possible. Our 40yrs of experience will ensure that we help you prepare for this journey from the very first day you approach us.
Each step will be managed and assisted by our award-winning team and your dedicated manager will ensure we are transparent and accountable in everything we do for your family. We always aim to exceed our customer's expectations to give you the peace of mind while making your dream a reality.
While every journey is different, most projects will begin with a tour of our display homes and then a personal site visit and assessment from a senior member of the New South team. Then, we will begin the process of designing your home based on your needs and wants. We will then prepare and present a tender. Once this is agreed and signed, we proceed through relevant council applications and formal pre-construction. During this time, our various teams will be at work getting everything prepared to begin construction. Once ground is broken and construction starts, there is generally a further 9-12mth timeline before we handover access to home.
