• What is the general timeline from consult to handover?

  The overall time needed for a Knockdown Rebuild (KDR) is often at least an 18mth process once you consider planning, approvals, and building. This timeline starts from the moment you begin planning what sort of home you want and ends the day we handover the keys to your finished home. Every job is different and our expert team will be with you every step of the way to make this process as enjoyable and efficient as possible. Our 40yrs of experience will ensure that we help you prepare for this journey from the very first day you approach us.

  Each step will be managed and assisted by our award-winning team and your dedicated manager will ensure we are transparent and accountable in everything we do for your family. We always aim to exceed our customer's expectations to give you the peace of mind while making your dream a reality.

• What is the process over the course of the project?

  While every journey is different, most projects will begin with a tour of our display homes and then a personal site visit and assessment from a senior member of the New South team. Then, we will begin the process of designing your home based on your needs and wants. We will then prepare and present a tender. Once this is agreed and signed, we proceed through relevant council applications and formal pre-construction. During this time, our various teams will be at work getting everything prepared to begin construction. Once ground is broken and construction starts, there is generally a further 9-12mth timeline before we handover access to home.

• What sort of cost can be expected for our home?

  One important aspect to consider is that every knockdown rebuild is different. There are numerous building elements which can vary greatly including demolition of the existing home, excavation of the land, and unpredictable supplier costs. At New South Homes, we are renowned for our integrity, transparency, and honesty throughout every moment of the process.

  When it comes to bespoke luxury home building, there is no easy or accurate way to estimate costs prior to a full assessment of your land and dedicated needs. Our team will always work to meet your budget needs where possible and will be transparent throughout the entire process.

• Do you have display homes I can visit?

  New South Homes has a bespoke display setup which showcases two stunning home builds and a granny flat from our sister company, Granny Flat Solutions. These homes are open for walk-in appointments during open hours (or appointments as organised for other times) at a convenient location in Pennant Hills.
